Christmas Eve
I like Christmas Eve. There's a real sense of anticipation in the air. Everyone's finishing their last minute preparations. In our house, Mum's peeling sprouts and putting the little crosses on the top. What are they for? Andrew's wrapping presents upstairs and Dad's sorting out the turkey. In a minute, I need to move and put up the Christmas cards, because they're all in a pile at the moment!!
Andrew read the Christmas story to Ben before he went to bed, the alternative 'Night Before Christmas', just to make sure he understands what it's really all about. Ben's really funny. I reckon this Christmas is the first he really understands what's going on all the time. He understands that Christmas is about Jesus being born, but can't understand why we get all the presents! He understands that Jesus had '2 dads'! Joseph & God. We decided Joseph is like Jesus' step-dad. It's the easiest way to explain it in the way the world is these days! When asked 2 weeks ago who was coming to visit soon, he said 'Grandma and Grandad'! I think so far we're managing to keep off most of the Santa superstition!
Still not sure whether I'll be able to get on with the blogging thing, but maybe when I tell people I'm blogging and I know people are reading it, I might think of what to write.
Well, Merry Christmas (CSM says it should be 'Merry') to anyone who's reading!

Merry Christmas Tracy and Family. Wow you are organised with the brussels (only doing them cos David and the rabbit like them!) Took me a while to get into blogging and now do 3. One for the family, one for the children and one for me to rant in. It's nice having an online memory of things. I'm not as good with dates as I used to be ;-) Take care and wish your parents and Andrew a Merry Christmas from us. Oh and we only just put the cards up out of the pile.
